Part 4 : Why I felt cheated after taking ‘Naukri’s’ Paid Service

Customer support: Once your subscription period starts you would get a little help. You can’t talk to your resume manager and Jobs on Move team. You just have their helpline number which is reachable. If you request a call back it is not guaranteed that would get one.  You can’t complain to the higher authority because they would not provide you the number or e-mail id and by chance if they do they would not pick your call. Try this out or ask somebody who has taken this service.

Services on hold: If you put your services on hold, then also your subscription period is counted. Why anybody would like to put their services on hold? I can’t think of one. If anybody has the answer and if you have time write it in comments.

Disclaimer: Read the disclaimer if you have time. You will get some idea. What you are going to get? Is it beneficial to take paid service? In the disclaimer they are not promising you anything. They don’t even take any responsibility of the authenticity of the job posted. Why would you pay them if you have to verify the authenticity by yourself. More trouble for you. You pay them for getting rid of trouble but this is the starting. Some jobs posted from their website do not have an address. I called on the toll free number but it was of no use. They told me to search on google.

That’s my opinion. Rest is up to you. You are the decision maker. Don’t believe me blindly. Think at least ten times before taking Naukri’s paid service. They may be number one job portal but are they number one in providing paid service too thinkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. As time would pass I would have more insight of these services. I will keep you updated.

If you have confidence that you can get the job in two or three interviews then don’t buy Naukri’s Paid service. If you have friends who are searching or are currently working somewhere don’t buy Naukri’s Paid service. The amount you pay to Naukri would be less than you spend calling your friends. If you know how to make the maximum use of Naukri Job portal don’t buy Naukri Paid service.  It is my request. Final decision is yours. Don’t go on Naukri’s name. Follow your heart and your brains.

Naukri doesn’t have jobs neither it can arrange an interview for you. Naukri has only accounts of companies and consultants. Now-a-days jobs are confined to Companies and consultants. It is my advice that you search a good consultant and get their services. It should cost you less and you would get better results.
 

Part 3 : Why I felt cheated after taking ‘Naukri’s’ Paid Service

Let me tell you about third service they provide. It is called Jobs on Move. They charge you a thousand bucks for this service. You would get 100 SMS’s relevant to your profile on your mobile registered with them, three sms per day. After receiving 100 sms’s this service expires.

When you receive a sms you have to apply. This can be done in two pays. First you send a sms. The codes for applying are there in the sms. Second you can log in into your account, click on Jobs on move service and for the relevant job click on view and apply. This sends you resume to the company or consultant for shortlisting. That’s all they provide. It is up to the company or the consultant whether they are going to call or send you for the interview.

I agree that you are the first ones to receive the sms and apply. Is this makes the service worthy? You must not be the lucky one to receive an interview call. Why? You receive a sms when a company or consultant adds a Job Details in their database. A non-paid user can also search the job and apply. This increases the crowd and decreases the chances for your profile to get short listed.

From time this service is activated I have received 29 sms’s and applied. I even went to the venue details but all my efforts went in vain. From these sms’s fifty percent were irrelevant. I tried calling on the jobs on move team’s number provided but nobody has the time to pick up my phone. I tried mailing them but it was a waste of time. When I called customer care for help they told me that jobs on move is an independent team. It would take forty eight to implement changes. This team does not work on Saturday. They also asked to verify the phone number and e-mail id.  

The customer care is of not much help. 

                

Please don’t go to the venue details. You would not be entertained. The venue details sometimes have a landline or mobile no. Call on that number. If they say then only commute to the location.

Resume Flash Domestic Consultants

This service would cost you a thousand rupees. This service forwards your resume to domestic consultants. In addition to that it automatically sends you resume to some of the domestic consultants. The maximum limit for auto application is fifty. I have not received a single call from any of the domestic consultants. I don’t know what this service does. It has automatically applied to one of the job. What a waste of my resources?   

Naukri doesn’t have jobs neither it can arrange an interview for you. Naukri has only accounts of companies and consultants. Now-a-days jobs are confined to Companies and consultants. It is my advice that you search a good consultant and get their services. It should cost you less and you would get better results. 

If the services like Jobs on Move and resume forwarding service can’t get you call then it is a waste to spend your money on making a cover letter and resume writing. I would suggest choose the services according to your needs.

Part 2 : Why I felt cheated after taking ‘Naukri’s’ Paid Service

Let me tell you about one of the services they provide.

Resume Flash : They would upload your resume on their portal. The recruiters are searching candidate’s resume for a job opening. If your resume matches their searching criteria it would be displayed as a featured resume. This is for the duration of six months. They are taking a thousand bucks for this feature. I tell you what I got after taking this service. 

They forwarded my resume to consultants. Twenty three days have passed away. I have received forty e-mails from the recruiters. I am searching for the post of software tester. Most of the e-mails are of PHP developers, Business Development manager, call center executive. I would not lie. Only four e-mails are matching my job profile. One was the most relevant.  I replied to the recruiter but no reply from their side. Three of them were for different locations so I paid a little attention. Let my subscription period end. I would give my Naukri’s portal username and password. See it for yourself. This is one time service. They also don’t promise about number of calls you get. If you take their service read their confirmation mail. You would come to know the truth.

What help you get during your subscription period for this service?

 I told you this is one time service. Guess what help you can get? Once they forward your resume you can’t do anything.  Waiting game for you. Just call on their helpline number (18001025557). They would say that they can’t do anything. If the recruiter are not shortlisting your resume they can’t do anything. It means that their job is just to forward your resume to consultants. I called the customer care many time but no help was provided.

Once I called the customer care. They tried to prove me wrong by replying that all the services are activated and I have received forty e-mails but they didn’t know the fact that how relevant are the e-mail and how efficient is their network. I remember the name of the executive but I don’t want to write her name in the Blog. The only reply that is a little bit understandable is that services take time to come into full flow. I am waiting for the good time.

The decision is yours whether to opt for this service or not. Please take the decision with caution. If one thing is not advantageous for me doesn’t mean it is not advantageous to you also.
